Our server is a Supermicro. Supermicro are true server-grade machines in every sense of the term.

All software is updated regularly with newer, stable versions so that everything is always running smoothly. Due to this, the versions listed above may differ slightly from the actual versions installed. Security patches are automatically installed.

Q. How much disk space and bandwidth will I get?

A. Our standard hosting package (£80 per annum) provides you with 200 Mb of disk space and a generous 5Gb of data transfer a month.

This will be more than sufficient for all but the busiest e-commerce sites. If you regularly exceed your standard allocation, we will re-examine your requirements and after consultation with you, make a small monthly surcharge to cover the extra disk space / bandwidth used.

Q. Do you allow root / shell access to the server?

A. No we do not. All server functions that need to be carried out can be done via your control panel.

Q. Where can I find a copy of your hosting Terms & Conditions?

A. You can download a copy of our Terms & Conditions here. By choosing to host your site with Cetechuk, you signify your agreement to be bound by our terms & conditions.

Q. Can I run a mailing list on the server?

A. Yes you can but your list must comply with our mailing list policy which forms part of our Terms & Conditions which you can download here

Q. Do you allow the hosting of 'Adult' sites?

A. No. We do not allow the hosting of 'Adult' sites. There are no exceptions to this.

Q. Do you have a list of banned scripts?

A. Yes. The list of banned scripts can be found here. These scripts are banned for good reasons - server security and stability, prevention of the mail server being used as a spam relay. If you are unsure whether a script you wish to run is allowed, please confirm with us before uploading / executing the script. The use of a banned script will result in an immediate suspension of your account, until a mutual resolution of the problem is reached.

Q. Do you have a minimum hosting period?

A. Yes. Our minimum hosting contract period is 12 months.
