::osCommerce, our e-commerce solution is software written and maintained under an Open Source licence.

In effect, it is free software! You can use it on as many sites as you wish without spending a penny. Many clients, understandably, find this an alien concept and may assume that choosing osCommerce means choosing an inferior product. This is simply not true.

We will provide you with a configured empty store. You can then either:

1. Commission us to add the products for you, chargeable per 100 items added (pro rata). If you do not already have product images and product descriptions in electronic format, again, we can do this work for you on the same charging basis.
2. Add the products yourself. This is not difficult, just time consuming. You will need a half-day's training which we provide. Once this initial setup is complete, if you don't want to do any product maintenance, we provide the following service for a fixed monthly fee:
   • Adding / Removing / Amending products (including images and product descriptions) limited to 15 items per month, thereafter charged at the 100 products pro-rata rate.
   • Minor design changes - e.g. changing banner text, minor modifications to homepage. Limit two per month.
   • Minor catalogue issues - e.g. changes to your terms and conditions, altering postage rates etc. Limit two per month.

osCommerce requires you to be connected to the web host server whilst you are printing orders / maintaining the site.

This list of features is not exhaustive. In addition, osCommerce can have its core functionality expanded using additional modules. We have lots of experience with the modules available and can also custom code modules if necessary.

Licence & costs :

::The software itself is completely free to use. We will charge for:

• Installation of the software.
• Customisation of the base install to include essential SEO optimisations.
• Customisation of the site design including colour scheme and company logo.
• Integration with the payment service provider of your choice.
• Supply of an SSL certificate and installation (if required).
• Optionally, the addition of products (see above).
